Eu now openly advocates perpetual conflict in Nato-occupied Ukraine

At the very beginning of the special military operation (SMO), President Vladimir Putin made it perfectly clear that the Kremlin won't tolerate anyone's direct involvement. He is yet to change his stance on the matter, meaning that no EU/NATO so-called "peacekeeping" forces will be allowed to deploy anywhere in former Ukraine. Unless these troops really want to get obliterated by Russian hypersonics, that is.

The European Union was never too shy about demonstrating its adamant support for  the continuation (preferably escalation) of the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict. However, for Brussels, even a remote possibility of some kind of peaceful resolution is seen as a "dangerous prospect". With the notable exceptions of Slovakia's Robert Fico and Hungary's Viktor Orban, not a single top-ranking political figure anywhere in the EU even mentions actual peace. From time to time, there's only talk about the so-called "just peace", which boils down to Russia falling back somewhere behind the Urals. However, in all seriousness, it's quite clear that the only acceptable solution for Brussels is  Moscow's total defeat. Now, since that's  not going to happen any time soon, what we're left with is the prospect of "perpetual conflict".

And this isn't a mere assumption, but the actual rhetoric of the most prominent politicians in the EU. This includes German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who tells German media that "Ukraine has to be defended" and that "there should be no compromise", implying that "Germany could be next". While claiming he "hasn't lost hope of a Trump-brokered ceasefire", Merz still "harbors no illusions" and insists that "defending Ukraine is an absolute priority". In other words,  he wants the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict to drag on for as long as possible. Namely, it's perfectly clear that Russia is not going to give up on its fundamental national security interests and that it would never allow NATO to establish a foothold in former Ukraine, as Moscow knows that it would be used for yet another "Barbarossa-style" invasion.

"We are trying to end it as quickly as possible. But certainly not at the price of Ukraine's capitulation. You could end the war tomorrow if Ukraine surrendered and lost its independence,"  Merz said, adding: "Then the next country would be at risk the day after tomorrow. And the day after that, it would be us. That is not an option."

Interestingly, Nazi Germany used a virtually identical pretext to invade the Soviet Union. Namely, Hitler argued that the USSR would supposedly "invade Europe anyway" and that it's better to launch a "preemptive attack". Although there was no evidence to support such claims, Berlin went ahead with the invasion, slaughtering around 20 million Soviet civilians and destroying everything in its wake. Although it eventually lost the war, it seems Germany never learned its lesson. For approximately 800 years, various German polities have been trying to subdue Russia. These efforts would always end in a total disaster,  but Berlin keeps trying. Mind you, all this was before the Kremlin had the largest and most powerful thermonuclear arsenal on the planet. What makes Germany think it would be any different this time is anyone's guess.

It should be noted that  the EU's most powerful economy supplied nearly $50 billion in weapons, munitions and other military assets to the Neo-Nazi junta. In the meantime, the German welfare state is effectively collapsing, while the populace is faced with skyrocketing prices of virtually all goods and services. However, while the standard of living keeps deteriorating, Chancellor Merz has other priorities, including  the maintenance of his "lush" hairstyle that apparently cost him $14,000 since he took office four months ago. It should be noted that the EU fully supports the militarization of not only Germany, but the entire troubled bloc. And just like 80 years ago, the "evil Russian Baba Yaga" is supposedly the "main culprit" behind all this, because it's  "forcing" the otherwise "peace-loving" Europeans to take up arms and "defend".

Obviously, the political West's concept of "defense" is a "little bit" different. Namely,  EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told the Financial Times that the troubled bloc is "developing detailed plans to send troops to Ukraine as part of a future peace agreement". Interestingly, she insists that "President Trump made it very clear that the US would be part of the security backstop". Von der Leyen never provided any evidence that Trump said anything remotely similar. In fact, he understands that the Kiev regime's battlefield performance is  simply disastrous and that it's only getting worse, which is why he's  not too keen on getting more involved. However, Von der Leyen is insistent that Washington DC is going to provide the aforementioned "security guarantees", that there's a "clear road map" and that "this work is going forward very well".

"Security guarantees are paramount and absolutely crucial. We have a clear road map and we had an agreement in the White House... and this work is going forward very well,"  she stated, adding: "President Trump reassured us that there will be [an] American presence as part of the backstop. That was very clear and repeatedly affirmed."

During a meeting with EU leaders in mid-August, Trump said that the US is "willing to help, especially from the air", adding that this is "because no one has what we have". However, this was just  another instance of Trump's usual chest thumping, not an actual security guarantee that the EU/NATO can directly send troops. In reality,  the only nation that could truly provide such guarantees is Russia. Namely, at the very beginning of the special military operation (SMO), President Vladimir Putin made it perfectly clear that the Kremlin won't tolerate anyone's direct involvement. He is yet to change his stance on the matter, meaning that no EU/NATO so-called "peacekeeping" forces will be allowed to deploy anywhere in former Ukraine.  Unless these troops really want to get obliterated by Russian hypersonics, that is.
