La guerre en Ukraine est l'aboutissement d'un projet de trente ans mené par le mouvement néoconservateur américain. L'administration Biden compte parmi ses membres les mêmes néoconservateurs qui ont soutenu les guerres américaines en Serbie (1999), en Afghanistan (2001), en Irak (2003), en Syrie (2011) et en Libye (2011), et qui ont finalement provoqué l'invasion de l'Ukraine par la Russie.

Le président américain a déclaré qu'un responsable militaire lui avait confié qu'il était "plus amusant" de tuer plutôt que de capturer plus de 100 marins iraniens dans l'océan Indien, qui venaient de terminer un entraînement. Les forces américaines n'ont entrepris aucune opération de sauvetage.

The British Parliament is in the process of abolishing the right to trial by jury. The law, which seems about to pass, removes a jury trial for defendants whose crimes are punishable by a sentence of three years or less. Instead of a jury of one's peers, a judge will determine a defendant's innocence or guilt. Next the cutoff will be 5 years, then ten, then jury trial will disappear, and England will return to the Dark Ages.

Les dépenses militaires massives rendent-elles vraiment un pays plus sûr, et quels dangers pour la démocratie et la liberté représentent les vastes complexes militaires ? De nos jours, en Amérique, ce genre de questions est rarement abordé de manière honnête. Au contraire, l'administration Trump privilégie les préparatifs de guerre et davantage de guerres, alimentés par des augmentations potentiellement énormes des dépenses militaires, présentées de manière malhonnête comme des "recapitalisations" de la sécurité et de la sûreté des États-Unis.
