Swap Lines, Secret Bailouts, and the Weaponization of the Dollar

By Doug Casey
International Man

June 19, 2026

International Man: While the term "swap line" sounds technical and harmless, it seems like it's just a euphemism for a bailout.

What does it say when Washington starts extending swap lines to countries like Argentina and the UAE?

Doug Casey: First, we should define what a swap line is. It basically amounts to the US giving a foreign country X amount of currency in dollars, and the other country paying for it by giving the US the same amount in their currency.

The Climate Scenario That Changed the World — And Is Now Being Quietly Dropped

By Mark Keenan

June 19, 2026

For more than a decade, one climate scenario exercised extraordinary influence over public policy, media reporting, corporate planning, and public consciousness.

Most people never heard of it. It was known simply as RCP 8.5.

Yet behind countless headlines predicting climate catastrophe, behind many of the studies cited by activists and politicians, and behind much of the urgency driving climate policy stood this single scenario.

What Triggered Trump To Make the Deal With Iran ?

By Larry C. Johnson

June 19, 2026

To quote James Carville, "Its the economy stupid!" On Monday I wrote:

So the question we ought to ask is why did Donald Trump blink and accept the proposal that Iran proffered way back in April?

I think there are several reasons, but the principal one is that the US is running out of oil, which means Trump will not be able to artificially suppress the price of gasoline.

We Are a Long Way from a Peace Deal

By Paul Craig Roberts

June 19, 2026

Friday came on Wednesday. Last night the Memorandum of Understanding that was supposed to be signed tomorrow in Switzerland was signed digitally by the US and Iranian presidents. The Iranian explanation for the digital signing is that "When the text is signed by the highest authorities of both countries, violating it will naturally carry greater costs.

Orwellian Nightmare: Uk Confirmed To Have 'Thought Police'

By Drago Bosnic
InfoBrics

June 19, 2026

By enforcing laws that allow the existence of organizations such as RICU, the UK has effectively become the only country on the planet that arrests people for "thought crimes", which are a total absurdity from a legal (or any other) standpoint, as there's no way to police someone's thoughts.

Nearly 80 years after George Orwell wrote "1984", Western media still use it to describe totalitarian governments and societies, particularly if they're non-Western.

The « Deal »

By Eric Peters
Eric Peters Autos

June 19, 2026

It is hard to make sense of - to believe - that the "deal" supposedly reached between the United States and Iran means the war's over. It probably means the war is on pause, again. Israel hasn't agreed to anything, for one - and even if Israel did, Israel's word is worth about as much as (dare it be said?) Hitler's, with regard to promises of non-aggression.

Dni Gabbard Declassifies Ukrainian Biolab Docs

The US Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex and DoD have been having a great time in Ukraine.

June 19, 2026

In April of last year I gave a presentation at Jesus College, Cambridge about US Department of Defense Bio-labs with a focus on its facilities in Ukraine. As I pointed out, the DoD explicitly acknowledged its investment in these labs on March 10, 2022, when a Senior Defense Official spoke about DoD's "Cooperative Biological Threat Reduction Program activities in Ukraine" and published a "Fact Sheet" that included the following disclosures.

The Brits Should Declare Their Independence, Too

British tyranny is globalism, and globalism must be destroyed.

By J.B. Shurk
American Thinker

June 19, 2026

British tyranny is so repulsive that the British people owe it to themselves to overthrow their government masters. It has been two-hundred-fifty years since America's Declaration of Independence recognized the Crown system as a threat to Americans' lives and liberties. English-speaking peoples still suffering under the British yoke should follow suit.

Humans Create Empires for the Same Reason They Create Egos

We're basically ruled by emotional toddlers who never learned to rein in their egos. They're trying to control the planet in the same way they tried to control their access to toys and candy when they were small.

By Caitlin Johnstone

June 19, 2026

Humans create empires for the same reason they create egos. It's all about the impulse to control.

We come into this world boundless and free with eyes full of wonder, but within a few years our minds create and solidify a sense of self around which our mental lives revolve.

The Last Places in America That Might Survive the Collapse

By Milan Adams
Preppgroup

June 19, 2026

Editor's Note: This article was originally inspired by a simple question that has quietly found its way into countless conversations over the last few years. What would actually happen if the systems we take for granted suddenly stopped working ? While nobody can predict the future, geography, history, climate, and demographics often tell stories that politicians and headlines prefer to ignore.
