Twilight's Last Gleaming

By Andrew P. Napolitano

August 27, 2026

There is a point in the decline of republics when the problem is no longer that government breaks its own laws. Governments will always behave unlawfully. The deeper problem comes when the constitutional machinery designed to prevent those acts stops functioning - when spending becomes detached from arithmetic, presidential power becomes detached from law, and Congress and the courts become detached from the Constitution.

Rothbard vs. the Conservatives on the American and French Revolutions

By Ryan McMaken
Mises.org

August 27, 2026

Contained within Rothbard's multi-volume history of the American Revolution, Conceived in Liberty, is an extended argument against the conservative narrative on the American Revolution and the French Revolution.

Writing in the 1960s, Rothbard was addressing what was then a common claim among conservatives about the revolution: that it was a conservative, restrained, and almost gentlemanly revolution that sought only to preserve and restore what had already been established.

European Solidarity at Risk as 10 Countries Restore Border Checks

By Ahmed Adel
Global Research

August 27, 2026

The recent border restrictions imposed by Italy on travelers arriving from Spain, and Madrid's immediate retaliation, due to the migration crisis in Ceuta, a Spanish exclave in North Africa, bring into question the viability of Europe's common area, known as Schengen, and whether European solidarity is collapsing. These restrictive measures are becoming more frequent across Europe.

Pitch for Defense Treaty and Moving Us Military to Israel Is Insane

The Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) is pushing a plan that would also include expanded integration and a new $38 billion MOU

By Jennifer Kavanagh

On August 18, Israel bombed a non-operational Syrian air base, reportedly to derail Turkish plans to deploy military forces to the installation. The move drew swift condemnation from the United States, which did not receive prior notification despite its growing support for Syria, its alliance with Turkey, and the presence of thousands of U.S.

They Know What's Coming, Because They Planned It

By Jim Quinn

"There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency involved." -amzn.to

It seems like all the DSA kiddies are the spawn of educated and credentialed experts. Should we be worried ?

Are you worried about the DSA kiddies ? Folks like Zohran Mamdani, son of a college professor and a filmmaker ? Or Katie Wilson, child of two evolutionary biologists?

It seems like all the DSA kiddies are the spawn of educated and credentialed experts.

City Is « Lost »: Pastor Warns of Sharia in Dearborn — and Irish Language Need Not Apply

By Selwyn Duke
The New American

August 27, 2026

As the erasure of Western culture continues apace, two stories from the past week stand out. One involves a black Christian pastor in Dearborn, Michigan, who warned that "we have lost this city" to Sharia law. The second concerns a Nigerian-born "racism czar" in Ireland who just told the Irish to stop emphasizing their "Irish" language (She meant Gaelic.)

The Disappearing Western World

By Paul Craig Roberts

August 27, 2026

It was 53 years ago that Jean Raspail wrote The Camp of the Saints in an attempt to wake up the French nation to the future challenge they would face. The French response was to dismiss Raspail's effort as a dystopian novel and do nothing. Today five decades later Marine Le Pen, leader of France's only French nationalist party, is the most popular political leader in France.

"No one rules if no one obeys"

~ David Icke

If I was weak, I would ask to be forgiven for my brutal and accusatory candor, but I need not, and desire not, any forgiveness. It is my assumption that telling the truth regardless of any ill will or hurt feelings it may generate, is always literally my only intent. I will never compromise, or soften the truth in order to massage weakness, cowardice, or pathetic victimization attitudes.

The « Smartening » of America

By Cherie Zaslawsky
CherieZaslawsky.substack.com

August 27, 2026

The formerly sleepy suburb of  Menlo Park where I live, made a sudden appearance on everyone's radar in 2011 when Facebook moved in. Then-Mayor Rich Cline presciently called it: "the single biggest event in our town's history." And we're about to make national headlines once more, since we're facing what amounts to a hostile takeover by progressive change agents, through a perfect storm of political chicanery coupled with undue influence by big monied interests.

The Day Everything Stopped: The Last Counties Worth Owning in America

By Madge Waggy

Most people ask the wrong question entirely. They imagine collapse as a cinematic event-fireballs on the horizon, zombies at the perimeter, some dramatic moment when the protagonist grabs a bug-out bag and flees toward salvation. Reality moves slower. It whispers before it screams. Systems fray at the edges long before they snap at the center, and by the time the average person recognizes the pattern, the exits have narrowed to chokepoints.

If Nasa Went to the Moon Six Times. Why Is Going Back So Difficult

By Mark Keenan

August 27, 2026

More than half a century after Apollo, NASA's continuing struggle to return people to the lunar surface raises questions that deserve far more scrutiny.

In July 1969, NASA told the world that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had travelled approximately 240,000 miles from Earth, descended to the lunar surface, walked on the Moon, launched from it, rendezvoused with a spacecraft in lunar orbit and returned safely to Earth.
