No week goes by in Washington without another display of Trumpism, i.e. the expressed desire by the president to turn our constitutional republic into an expression of Trump-world that honors and glorifies, as he put it recently, "me." Trumpean conceit has included his Tr(i)ump(hal) Arch in Arlington, his bid to rename the Kennedy Center, his takeover of the Institute of Peace, his seizure of the District of Colombia's public golf courses, and a declaration two weeks ago that he continues to consider awarding himself a Congressional Medal of Honor.

Fatherhood has been under attack for decades, spoken of as a fungible role that a mother could play. The newest attacks are on the very meaning of "father," coming from trans ideology and science.

On 25 June 2026, I was on the"Deep Dive" with Lt. Col. (ret.) Danny Davis. We talked at some length about events in Iran, where the US and Iran are once again engaged in tit-for-tat attacks. One might think the US has decided to get tough with Iran and settle this conflict once and for all. Think again. The US has no military option for winning this war, which is why the US signed the Memorandum of Understanding, which is effectively a surrender document, on 17 June 2026.

Some understanding was clearly agreed to at Anchorage even though it wasn't an "official" one, but Trump reneged on his commitments, so Rubio is playing dumb by denying that any agreement existed.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded to three high-level Russian officials' claims that the US had reneged on the "Spirit of Anchorage", which an RT contributor described as Trump coercing Zelensky into withdrawing from Donbass in exchange for Putin declaring a ceasefire, by denying that any deal existed.
