Fauci s'en va, les controverses demeurent.

After Wrecking the World, Fauci Resigns

By  Tom Woods

August 24, 2022

From the  Tom Woods Letter:

By now you've probably heard the news: Anthony Fauci will retire from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the end of this calendar year.

For someone who, like me, has spent two and a half years chronicling the wreckage caused by what we laughingly call our public health establishment, it's hard to summarize the damage Fauci has wrought. My 2020 blog post "Death by Lockdown," listing the various ways the social disruptions caused by the restrictions harmed human well-being, only scratched the surface.

So instead of trying to summarize it all, I'll say this:

(1) I was very happy to have had a chance to  discuss the Fauci phenomenon with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., author of The Real Anthony Fauci, on the Tom Woods Show.

(2) Stanford's Jay Bhattacharya released a statement today about the Fauci retirement.

Dr. Bhattacharya has been a friend of the Tom Woods Show, I am happy to say, and in fact while I was in the hospital last year with Covid he stayed in contact with me to answer my questions and to make sure my treatment regimen was a good one.

When it came to Fauci and Covid, here is Bhattacharya's assessment:

Dr. Fauci's leadership during the COVID pandemic has been divisive, rigid, and flawed. His advice on lockdowns, school closures, and other restrictions, in particular, ignored the tremendous harm done to children and other vulnerable people by the policies themselves while failing to protect the elderly from COVID. He deployed his allies in the press to destroy the reputations of scientists who disagreed with his pandemic management rather than seeking good-faith discussions as all scientists should. I wish Dr. Fauci well in his future endeavors, but I will be happy when he finally steps down as chief medical adviser to Pres. Biden and head of NIAID.

Of course, it isn't the resignation of one man that matters. The rot runs deep, as do the conflicts of interest. But as Fauci's tenure comes to an end, it is crucial not to let the official hagiography go uncontested.

Very soon I will be able to announce a documentary project put together by some friends of mine that will tell the true story of the man.

In the meantime:

By now I guess most readers know about my various online courses, both for the Ron Paul Curriculum and for Liberty Classroom. So I know a little something about how to create and sell them.

Since I apparently have quite a few of you who are interested in creating and selling online courses of your own, I put together some free resources to help you do it:
