So far, so good. Iran hasn't yet been attacked by the United States on behalf of the Israel uber alles lobby. It's good, so far - because such an attack would not be in the interests of Americans - or even Israel, for that matter. The attack was probably called off - for now - because of a dawning realization that the Iranians have the capability to inflict the kind of damage on Israel - and America - that punching-bag states such as Iran have previously not had.
The last exchange between Iran and Israel made that plain. The former scene of Israel pounding the shit out of backward Arab states has changed. Iran gave back as least as good as it got. It is possible the Iranians are capable of giving back much more. So much more that it might mean the end of Israel, possibly more than just that. This benefits no one, including the maniacs that run the state of Israel.
But is it actually checkmate ? Or is it nothing more than a temporary halt - to give the forces being arrayed against the Iranians time to build up what they hope will be forces sufficient to overwhelm the Iranians and whatever trump card they may be holding ? it very much appears to be just that. Trump continues to build up striking power in the region and the idea that "Netanyahu" has given up his determination to neuter Iran - which currently thwarts the Greater Israel project - is as naive as believing if only someone had loved Ted Bundy enough, he wouldn't have killed all those women.
We plebes have no way of knowing what is really going on, of course. But broad brush guesses that are likely accurate can be made, based on the facts at hand. It is clear as cancer that "Netanyhau" and the Zionist fanatics - most of whom aren't Semites, incidentally but use the cover of being "Jews" to cow any questioning of their doings - are absolutely determined to end Iran as what they consider to be a "threat" to the state of Israel. And does constitute a threat - to the regional hegemony of the state of Israel. The latter wants to be the regional decider - and perhaps more than that. Zionism is a messianic doom cult - for the rest of us. It relies on a core belief that God is their god and all must bow to them. It articulates contempt for the "goys," which it regards as subhuman animals to be used much as cattle are used. It sounds terrible, but it is true. Read the Talmud.
Very few people want to discuss this, of course - having been conditioned that even to broach the topic is "anti-Semitic" and thus hatred of Jews. It is perhaps the greatest trick ever played on mankind. Including the Jews who aren't Zionists.
Anyhow, the game is almost certainly still afoot and what we've got right now is probably something like that trough in between the waves - if you surf - or the calm eye of the hurricane.
In other words, this isn't over - because in certain quarters, it cannot be allowed to be over. It is - in certain quarters - an existential question. One that may cost the rest of us our existence.
