Looks Like Donald Trump Is Serious About Puting Us Boots on the Ground in Iran

By Larry C. Johnson

March 26, 2026

In my recent article - Boots on the Ground in Iran... A Deception or a Suicide Mission? - I was shocked by the lack of OPSEC (aka Operational Security) surrounding the deployment of the 31st and 11th MEUs (Marine Expeditionary Unit). Then there was the news that the 82nd Airborne had cancelled an upcoming exercise and also were being deployed to the Persian Gulf as well.

Iran: Can a Civilization Be Destroyed in the Name of Democracy ?

By Thierry Meyssan
Voltairenet.org

March 26, 2026

Contrary to what our media would have us believe, the Islamic Republic of Iran is no more a totalitarian regime than our own. Iran is a far older civilization than the West. Its people possess qualities we lack. Not only should we not be proud of eradicating them, but we should listen to their voices.

We are witnessing, astonished, a new kind of war, without understanding it.

Are Americans Up to the Task of Survival ?

By Paul Craig Roberts
PaulCraigRoberts.org

March 26, 2026

It does seem that President Trump, being the total puppet of Israel and the Israel Lobby that rules America has put himself and America in a bad situation.

Trump was led down the garden path by Netanyahu. Trump was deceived by Netanyahu into a war that America cannot win unless it uses nuclear weapons. If Trump is stupid enough or egotistic enough to use nuclear weapons or to stand aside while Israel uses them, the genie is out of the bottle, and Armageddon is our destination.

The Problem Isn't « Kings », The Problem Is Us Presidents

The problem is US presidents, not kings. The problem is the US empire, not Trump. The United States needs drastic, revolutionary change, not daytime protests designed to be as inoffensive as possible.

There's another giant "No Kings" protest scheduled for this weekend, and right now all I can think about is how disgusting it is that this is the closest thing to a mass-scale antiwar protest in the United States right now.

Everything feels like it's designed to take-from your wallet, your time, your freedom.

That's because it is.

Why Might the Kremlin and the White House Be Covering Up Russian Intel Aid to Iran ?

By Andrew Korybko
Andrew Korybko's Newsletter

March 26, 2026

They might not want US hawks to obsess over the scandalous optics of Trump 2.0 continuing its talks with Russia while Russia is helping Iran kill US troops, which could manipulate the public into pressuring Trump 2.0 into ending these talks for good.

Putin's envoy to the US Kirill Dmitriev retweeted Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna's condemnation of Politico's latest report alleging that he conveyed Putin's proposal for Russia to stop providing Iran with targeting intel on US assets in exchange for the US no longer sharing intel with Ukraine.

One of the strangest quirks of human cognition is the inability of people to see evil when it is standing right in front of them, staring them in the face. We are so in the habit of believing that evil must be something occult or hidden from view that we can't see it when it is out in the open.

The Ai Depression

By Charles Hugh Smith

March 26, 2026

Either way AI goes-replacing human labor or failing to meet today's lofty expectations-the result is the same: an economic Depression.

Either way AI goes-replacing human labor en masse, or failing to meet today's lofty expectations-the result is the same: an economic Depression with no way out.

In effect, AI is self-liquidating: if it follows the projections of its most ardent promoters and replaces most human workers, it collapses the economy and society, and if it underperforms, it's an enormous waste of capital and resources that sinks the economy into Depression.

The European Union Hates Hungary, Loves Ukraine

The EU discards members, protects non-members.

What's in a name ? These daysnot much.

The European Union does not include Ukraine; nevertheless and notwithstanding the objections of E.U. members Hungary and Slovakia, the European supra-state insists on paying the salaries of Ukraine's government bureaucracy while that nation's martial-law-holdover-president, Volodymyr Zelensky, fights to maintain control over a breakaway region that has rejected Ukrainian rule since the 2014 coup d'état of Ukraine's then-president, Viktor Yanukovych.

The Silence Before Impact

Missiles, Memory, and the Edge of War

By Brandon Campbell
Ultimate-Survival

March 26, 2026

There is a particular kind of silence that comes before impact. Not metaphorical silence-the real one. The kind that settles in the seconds after a warning, when people stop talking not because they have nothing to say, but because language suddenly feels useless.

When we talk about the missile capabilities of Iran, we rarely talk about that silence.

Source : Foreign Policy, Weilin Deng, Bernard Haykel
