A British Court has decided not to allow Julian Assange the Wikileaks founder, to be able to sit with his lawyers in court rather than in a glass box. This is during a now adjourned hearing of a US attempt to extradite him.

In court this week in London, Assange's lawyers have drawn attention to his poor health and they say he can't properly consult with them or hear and participate properly in proceedings.

Assange faces 17 charges of espionage in the US and could face 175 years in prison over hacked and leaked US documents on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Fiona McLeod SC is chair of the Accountability Round Table and a former Labor candidate and she joins PM for her insights.
