Les divisions sociétales sont à leur apogée, la haine ethnique, raciale et idéologique atteignant un point d'ébullition. Les Américains n'ont jamais été aussi polarisés, y compris les différences massives de valeurs que l'on observe entre les États « bleus » et « rouges ».

Members of Congress are besides themselves over the testimony of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle regarding the near-assassination of former president Trump. They are upset that Cheatle was unable to provide them with adequate explanations as to what appears to be incompetence at best and willful blindness, conscious indifference, or complicity at worst on the part of the Secret Service.

Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle sat before the country to tell the Congress what she knows. While she didn't share any information Americans don't already have access to, her July 22^nd testimony to the House Oversight Committee was still informative.

She was sworn in, and she perjured herself. Her statement stands in contradiction to her answers to questions.

The fact that most of those I've discussed this with are dubious that there was a legitimate assassination attempt ought to tell you something. Those of us who are awake know we've been lied to about everything. Why believe this?

Update: Here is Rep. Jim Jordan giving Cheatle hell. As you can see, the Republicans are not even in the ball park. The issue as framed by Republicans and media is: did the Secret Service provide enough resources to protect Trump. This is not the issue. The media will treat Jordan as a Republican male picking on a woman.
