Here is the non-news news flash up front - The alleged ceasefire between the United States and Iran is kaput. While there has been no official announcement stipulating that it is over, trust me, it is over. The copium in the Trump administration in particular, and in Washington, DC in general, is ridiculous... Proclamations of a great military victory over Iran, without one shred of evidence that the US achieved any strategic objectives other than inspiring Iran to take control of the Strait of Hormuz and place the world economy in a supply-chain chokehold.

With 90 minutes to go until the world would learn what President Donald Trump meant when he said "a whole civilization will die tonight," he broke news of a ceasefire agreement regarding the Israel-Iran war. In contrast to past claims of diplomatic interactions between Iran and the United States, in this case both sides were on the same page.
But there's a third and equally weighty element in the war equation here, and that is Israel, America's joint military partner.
Warfare can only be effective and accomplish political objectives when it is accompanied by diplomacy.

The war isn't over.
Israel will do its best to sabotage the ceasefire by all means.

The Secretary for War Crimes Pete Hegseth and others who had urged for the war will be made scapegoats for this defeat.
