Euro elites fiddling while Paris burns
Finian Cunningham
The only "unity" on display in Paris was the closing of ranks by despicable elites who are tempting fate with war or revolution.
The ironic symbolism of this year's Bastille Day military parade was as rich as a French gateau, although the taste was rancid.
On the day that France celebrates the 1789 revolution, overthrowing a despised monarch, French President Emmanuel Macron was joined by an array of deeply unpopular European leaders to view a military parade that was meant to symbolize "unity and strength" against Russia.
Can We Trust the State ?

The weekend news that Senator Lindsey Graham is dead at 71 is a shock; even more curious is the tedious whitewashing of his death by the warmongering state he served.
It was only a few weeks ago that Lindsey was observed at Disney World holding a child's toy, surrounded by his loving family. He looked about as healthy as a rabid neoconservative and outed genocide advocate could be in a public place, but nevertheless, his death "after a brief illness" was surprising.

In September of 2025 when President Trump was attacking Thomas Massie I wrote Donald Trump Is a Putz!. "The one thing that Trump could actually accomplish to make the US and the world at large a better place is to root out the neoconservative war mongers from the Republican party and national discourse." I noted in this article that Trump does the opposite, and he had been a traitor to his supporters' America First agenda by supporting the neocons.
The Uk's Monstrous Equality Act

The Telegraph recently headlined a report titled 'Monstrous' Equality Act has gone too far, warns Lord Sewell. It seems that conservatives in the UK believe the Equality Act 2010, which is based on the same principles as civil rights legislation in the United States, has "gone too far."
They are calling for it to be repealed on grounds that "it has replaced 'individual freedom with collective victimhood.'" Their argument is that this legislation is basically good but has unfortunately gone astray.

Hostilities between the US and Iran have officially resumed.
During the recent NATO summit in Ankara, US President Donald Trump announced that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding was "over" and stated that US armed forces would resume attacks on Iran to "punish" the country for alleged attacks on Western ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Donald Trump planned to secure Russian support for an attack on Iran in exchange for "handing over" Ukrainian territories that, in opinion polls conducted before 2014, identified much more strongly with Russia than with the European Union.
After cutting off China's supply of Venezuelan oil by simply seizing it from Venezuela, and after blocking the transport routes for Iranian oil shipments to China, the USA only needed that Russia-China's largest supplier of oil and natural gas-starts using this position to cooperate with the USA in subjugation of China to the USA by deciding whether or not China would have sufficient energy resources for its industry.

On 10 July 2026, I was on the "Deep Dive" with Lt. Col. (ret.) Danny Davis, where we talked mainly about Iran, although we did discuss Ukraine in the last part of the show. On Iran, we talked about the tit-for-tat bombing campaign between Iran and the US that has replaced the failed strategic bombing campaign (28 February-8 April 2026) and the failed naval blockade (13 April-17 June 2026).
How Government Created a Nation of Conspiracy Theorists

Five years ago, suggesting that COVID-19 may have originated in a laboratory rather than a wet market could earn someone the label "conspiracy theorist."
Discussing vaccine injuries could result in a post being removed from social media. Questioning prolonged school closures, forced masking, or vaccine mandates often led to accusations of being "anti-science."

Sunday, I was interviewed by Sullivan Ahmed for an hour.
I explained that the tit-for-tat game that Iran and Washington are playing works perfectly for Israel. Israel is the source of the violence. Washington is merely acting for Israel. It is not Washington that gains from war with Iran. The war is in behalf of Israel's agenda of Greater Israel.
Medical Purgatory Part Three: A Miraculous Healing
Dr Naomi Wolf
I left you, dear reader, having come home at last after a crisis of aphasia in one - good - hospital, and after two and a half days of abject misery, and soul-searing pain, in another, painful, hospital.
I was beyond joyful to sink onto the red couch at home in Brooklyn, where I would recover; to watch the good man who saw me through that catastrophe clearing the obstacles from the floor, intent as if he was sweeping mines from a minefield; to smile at the dog who looks like a fluffy brown Muppet, who was wriggling with delight and smiling back at me.

Congress Moving Bill To Criminalize Criticizing Israel

"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize."

Our federal government-especially under Donald J. Trump-is doing everything it can to suppress free speech in the United States, particularly speech that is critical of Israel. Under Trump, public colleges and universities are under duress and threat of federal sanction if they allow public criticism of Israel by professors, teachers or students.
Offload Risks onto the Bottom 90% and Immiseration Follows

The underlying story of the past 50 years has been the offloading of risk onto workers and consumers.
On my map of how the world works, we start with structures of control that distribute the good stuff-resources, assets, income and power-and the bad stuff: costs, losses and risks. As I explained in The US Economy In a Nutshell, the current arrangement distributes the gains to the top 10% and the costs and risks to the bottom 90% via privatizing the gains and socializing-i.e.

Some news stories disappear before the coffee gets cold. Others refuse to leave, quietly growing in the background while the public moves on to the next headline. The recent military confrontation involving the United States and Iran belongs to the second category. Every new strike, every satellite image, every emergency statement issued from Washington, Tehran, Moscow or Brussels appears to last only a few hours before another development replaces it.
