Daniele Ganser, professeur d'histoire contemporaine à l'Université de Bâle a publié en 2005 un ouvrage intitulé " Les armées secrètes de l'OTAN". Selon lui les États-Unis ont orchestré dès les années 50 des attaques en Europe occidentale, imputées à la gauche et à l'extrême gauche, afin de les discréditer auprès de leurs électeurs. Cette stratégie se poursuit aujourd'hui, servant à attiser la peur de l'islam et à justifier des guerres pour le contrôle du pétrole.

French President Emmanuel Macron went full Orwell this week. While long the darling of Western media, Macron has been one of the most anti-free-speech leaders in the world. This week, he declared that "The so-called American 'free speech' today, which some people have promoted, is the opposite of free speech." Having Emmanuel Macron holding forth on free speech is akin to  youtube proselytizing on veganism.

So many events of the 21st century leave you shaking your head and searching for crisis actors. The narratives are childishly implausible, and nothing really gets resolved.

The Iran War has cost Americans over $170 billion, including hundreds of millions in military hardware accidentally destroyed by allies or intentionally blown up by the United States. Meanwhile, the expenses continue mounting as you read this.

A new report by the Lead Inspector General's office says 81 aircraft have been destroyed or damaged, for a total of $3.3 billion in costs, a fraction of the overall $43 billion - and counting - sticker price for the war.
